Andrea Rodriguez began dancing on the San Francisco streets for Carnaval with various groups in the late 90s. She trained in Afro-Latinx dance styles from Cuba, Brazil, Senegal, Puerto Rico and received her B.A from UCLA World Arts and Cultures Dance Dept, and MFA from USC, School of Cinematic Arts, Interactive Media Division. Andrea was dancing professionally in the Disney California Adventures, “Viva Navidad Parade” dancing 6 shows a day 6 days a week with @viverbrasildance To prevent injury she trained in Pilates to stay strong dancing on concrete. After her last season at Disney she came back home to S.F and began the @balanced_body Comprehensive Pilates Instructor Training at @ehspilates Catch Andrea at the salsa socials or working on her next multimedia production La Rumba No Para, a salsa love story about growing up in the San Francisco La Misíon.

I enjoy teaching Pilates for beginner to advance for the mat and apparatuses (reformer, chair, cadillac) Pilates is great for rehabilitation, to target muscles for activation and strength, core connection, and mobility.
