Mo Miner came to the Bay Area from Illinois where she was an Assistant Professor of Dance at Illinois State University. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Western Illinois University and then went on to get her MFA in Dance Performance at the University of Iowa. Last year, Mo became a certified MELT Method Hand and Foot instructor, and completed a week-long Human Anatomy Intensive Dissection Lab with Gil Hedley. She also has been studying experiential anatomy, restorative movement, and other somatic practices that are weaving their way into her modern dance technique classes. In the Bay Area she has performed with Nina Haft & Company, Nichele Van Portfleet, Rogelio Lopez, Fog Beast, Randee Paufve, little seismic dance company/Katie Faulkner, Rebecca Chun, Jessica Damon, Deborah Karp, and Bandaloop. Mo currently teaches at USF, UC Berkeley, and Shawl-Anderson Dance Center, where she also directs the Shawl-Anderson Youth Ensemble. mominer.com
