Jessica Maria Recinos is a Latina dancer and choreographer born and raised in San Francisco’s Excelsior District. Dancing and teaching professionally for nine years, she’s partnered with Alonzo King LINES, ODC, Dance Mission Theater & Youth Program, YBCA, San Francisco Ballet DISC Program, Brava Theater, AEABA Professional Developments, LEAP Arts in Education, Young Audiences, and Handful Players. She’s trained and performed with Loco Bloco Drum & Dance Ensemble, Fog Na Roupa, Arenas Dance Company, Aguas De Bahia, Mind Over Matter, Global Street Dance Collective, and fLEE Dance. Founder and Artistic Director of Rising Rhythm (featured in Asian Arts Museum Magazine, INSIDER, KPFA, Dance Mission D.I.R.T. Festival, Brava! Women for the Arts Baile en La Calle, El Tecolote Newspaper, Kimpton Hotel PRIDE Campaign, Levi’s 2019 PRIDE Campaign, PBS: KQED Arts, and KTVU Plus’ SF Loves Learning), Jessica works to cultivate a true arts family within her ever-evolving community.
