Aloha and Welina, (welcome), to Hui Kulia Ka Papa (Strive Group Hula Class)! We strive to make everyone feel welcome and inspired to learn and explore the amazing cultural dance of Hawaii, HULA. For us, Hula Is A Lifestyle and simply translated means that through hula we practice the philosophies we learn as haumana (student) hula in ka papa (class) and our daily lives. It is our kuleana (responsibility) to remember we are studying the history and a culture of the kanaka maoli (Hawaiian people), and to continue to always be mindful, respectful, encouraging and supportive with each other and to carry that same kuleana outside of ka papa.
