Gabriela Gonzalez was born in Mérida, Mexico, and trained at Miami City Ballet School, Centro Estatal de Bellas Artes, and summer programs at the School of American Ballet and Encuentro Internacional de Ballet in Cuba. With San Francisco Ballet Gabriela’s favorite roles performed have been works like: Helgi Tomasson’s Nutcracker (Arabian, Spanish, Flowers), Val Caniparoli’s “Ibsen’s house” (The Lady form the Sea), Jerome Robbins’ “The Cage” Justin Peck’s “Hurry Up We Are Dreaming” (principal couple “New Map”) to mention a few.
