MY STORY

Hailing from Hammond, Louisiana, Antinette's dance awakening unfolded in 2013 when she was introduced to Haitian folkloric dance. With that came the embrace of a loving community, the reverence of ritual, tradition, and Spirit. Her exploration of dance took her from Haiti to Cuba, and she continues to broaden her studies to the music and drumming of both cultures. Antinette graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Sociology and earned an MBA from the University of Southern California. She currently works in the nonprofit field, specializing in Finance and Accounting. Honored to become a member of the Arenas Dance family in 2017, she is awed daily by this beautiful journey. Dance is freedom, fulfillment, sustenance, flow, joy. Move. Be inspired.
