Hello! I am Anastasia, coming from Ukraine. My dance journey started in a hip hop studio as a kid where I also learnt basics of classic movement. My passion has always been in the street dance culture, so as a teenager I wandered off from a classic studio choreographed dance. That was when I started exploring freestyle street dancing with b-boys, poppers, rappers and beatmakers. It quickly grew into a meaningful hobby and later teaching job which allowed me to travel to numerous dance battles of Eastern Europe for 5 years before my arrival to the United States. In Ukraine, I was a part of 2 crews and ran my own dance company with students of various ages and levels, teaching them hip hop and jazz funk. My house journey began upon my arrival and meeting my teacher and mentor Shinobi Jaxx. Ever since, I can't stop. The purpose of this class is not only to teach House Basics but also to introduce everyone to our huge strong respectful community and creatively express ourselves to the music we love, house music.
