Alisa Froman earned a Bachelors degree in Performing Arts at SF State University. After completing her degree, she continued her studies in Cuba, focusing on Afro-Cuban folkloric dance at the National School for the Arts (La ENA), and with Raices Profundas. Alisa has performed in the Bay Area with Ban Rarra, Arenas Dance Company, Obakoso and Alayo Dance Company. Alisa is also the Founder and DIrector of PlazaCUBA, and organization that has been specializing in cultural travel to Cuba for over 20 years.
