MY STORY

Adetola (Tola) Williams was born in Oakland, California to Yoruba parents from Nigeria. She spent seven of her childhood years in Lagos, Nigeria where music and dance is a staple of everyday life. She performed these pieces during summer international cultural exchanges in Cuba, South Africa, Brazil, and Jamaica. She started dancing Afro Cuban Dances when she joined Arenas Dance Company in 2016.
